I just wanted to say thanks to those who have taken the time to view my work! You have no idea how much that means to me. Thank you to my new watchers as well, and the kind comments I have received.
I will get around to responding - but I'm having one of those quarter life crises. You know - college,
music professors, being an adult, new responsibilities
, feeling generally lost.
Anyways!
I've been doing
a lot of heavy colored pencil work recently. I recently took advantage of a Black Friday sale and finally got these (I know, I know ... but they were
$50 off - and I use them constantly.) :
www.facebook.com/sheanoelart/p…It was well worth it. There are so many shades I've never used. And, I need them to make Christmas presents for family and friends.
This is the first year I've tried to make a number of large drawings in such a short time for gifts. It's been a task - but I really think my family will appreciate it. I'm doing larger wildlife portraits in the style of this one:
They're getting done, but the speed I have to move at has my brain crawling. I've done so much coloring this past week, I think I'm starting to lose it. I've had to step back today because I realized I was rushing and making mistakes that (literally) cannot be erased with ease.
(Maybe I've been inhaling the prisma dust? I can seriously taste it on my tongue right now. No exaggeration. I've had dry mouth this whole week and I swear that's why.)
So! Hopefully, I'll be submitting again once again soon.
I'm going to take a break now and do some digital art.
Or, you know, practice violin. Because we haven't picked that up until today since two weeks ago (but, hey, I DID play piano for one-too-many-hours). I feel like I lost a part of myself. It felt great to play again today.
